The purpose of this research is to provide a thorough analysis of how Oppenheimer movie uses ambiguity as a storytelling device to enhance the narrative and encourage viewers to think more carefully about the ideas and messages presented. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method to analyze the lexical and structural ambiguities that implied in the dialogues spoken by the main character played by Cillian Murphy throughout the film. The results show of ambiguous words, which are associated with a word having multiple meaning, which leaves the listener perplexed as to which meaning to choose, however syntactical changes result in structural adverbial changes, which result in a sentence pattern that might imply many meanings. In addition, the occurrences of lexical ambiguities are 17 dialogues and for structural ambiguities 7 dialogues total 24 dialogues It possible to infer that the dialogue in the film Oppenheimer, directed by Christopher Nolan, many misinterpretations can arise as a result of a conversation's rich word usage, which can alter the audience's understanding of the speech's substance, produce a bit of humor in the dialogue, and, most typically, create plot holes in the film.
