Abstrak - Dalam era globalisasi saat ini, teknologi informasi melaju dengan cepatnya. Adapun
komputer yang merupakan peralatan yang diciptakan untuk mempermudah pekerjaan manusia, saat
mencapai kemajuan baik di dalam pembuatan hardware maupun software. Di masa pandemi Covid-
19 kebutuhan akan software semakin meningkat salah satu contohnya adalah sering diadakanya
rapat online, pelatihan online, ujian online dan sebagainya. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan online
biasanya peserta akan mendapatkan sertifikat, kendala yang terjadi adalah sertifikat harus di buat di
offline melalui aplikasi microsoft word lalu dikirim whastapp atau dikirim email ke masing-masing
peserta, tentu hal ini menyulitkan panitia. Sehingga dibutuhkan suatu sistem dimana dari mulai
pendaftaran peserta sampai selesai pelatihan secara otomatis mendapatkan sertifikat. Sistem
berbasis web ini ditulis untuk mempermudah proses pembuatan sertifikat agar lebih efektif dan efisien
dalam menunjang aktifitas. Perancangan sistem informasi sertifikat elektronik berbasis web
menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP, HTML, JavaScript dan MySQL. Metode yang digunakan
dalam merancang perangkat berupa metode waterfall , teknik pengumpulan data dan observasi.
Perancangan sistem informasi ini merupakan solusi terbaik untuk memecahkan permasalahan di
masa pandemi atau penerapan sistem online di masa mendatang.

Abstract - In the current era of globalization, information technology is advancing rapidly. As for
computers, which are equipment created to facilitate human work, when achieving progress both in
the manufacture of hardware and software. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the need for software is
increasing, one example is the frequent holding of online meetings, online training, online exams and
so on. After participating in online training, participants will usually get a certificate, the problem that
occurs is that the certificate must be made offline through the Microsoft Word application and then
sent by WhatsApp or emailed to each participant, of course this makes it difficult for the committee. So
we need a system where from the start of participant registration to completion of the training
automatically get a certificate. This web-based system was written to simplify the process of making
certificates to be more effective and efficient in supporting activities. Designing a web-based electronic
certificate information system using the programming languages PHP, HTML, JavaScript and MySQL.
The method used in designing the device is the waterfall method, data collection techniques and
observation. The design of this information system is the best solution for solving problems during a
pandemic or implementing an online system in the future.
