Ossy Musparilla (31210024), Implementation of Flipped Classroom Method in Teaching English in Taruna Mandiri Junior Highschool.
This study examines how the Flipped Classroom Method (FCM) is applied to teach English at Taruna Mandiri Junior Highschool using quantitative research. Its primary objective is to evaluate how effective FCM is in improving students' English skills and involvement compared to traditional teaching methods. The research involved a sample of 38 students who participated in post-tests to gather quantitative data on student perceptions and learning outcomes. The findings indicate students at Taruna Mandiri Junior High School achieved higher outcomes after the writer implemented the flipped classroom method in their classes. It can be seen from all of the components, the highest average scores were all from the results in the second test. This study enhances our understanding of integrating FCM into English education, offering insights into its advantages and challenges in the Indonesian educational setting. In comparison to traditional teaching methods, the flipped classroom method (FCM) at Taruna Mandiri Junior High School demonstrated higher student outcomes and increased engagement, as evidenced by improved post-test scores and enhanced student participation in English learning activities. This study contributes valuable insights into the efficacy of FCM versus traditional approaches in the Indonesian educational context.
