Violence in relationships is a complex and relevant social issue in society. whereas Psychoanalytic theory is a theory that discusses the nature and development of human personality. In this research, Sigmund Freud's personality theory was used with qualitative methods to analyze the personality structure of the character Lily Bloom in the novel It Ends with Us (2016). The purpose of this research is to find out the background to the violence experienced by Lily's character, to know the character development and the relationship between Lily Bloom's character development and Sigmund Freud's theory of personality structure which is divided into id, ego and super-ego. The results of this research show that Lily has experienced acts of violence in the form of physical violence which had an impact on her character development when faced with acts of violence in relationships, and also found the personality structure of Id, ego and super-ego which shows that of these three personality structures Lily's character Bloom is dominated by Ego.
