Abstract
- Mount Papandayan natural tourism park is
a type of active Strato mountain that has beautiful tourism potential, so it is
utilized as a tourism zone covering an area of 92.60 Ha, but in its use it does
not yet have a standard indicator as a reference. On the other hand the high
level of visit tends to cause pollution in resources (water, air and soil),
then there is sedimentation of land that is carried by water flow, due to the
area activities. Limits
of Acceptable Change is a system to approach and monitoring the condition of
existing resources in a tourist area, thus presenting alternative opportunities
for management. In this study the authors
approached the qualitative method through observation and interviews with
informants who knew deeply the condition of Papandayan Mountain Natural Park.
In the process, it was found data on the level of tourist visits, then the
carrying capacity, which until now was quite safe per day, then the
classification of tourist zones was in accordance with predetermined standards
but needed to be controlled in the process of future development.
