Komunikasi Antar Pribadi Non Verbal Penyandang Disabilitas di Deaf Finger Talk

The large number of persons with disability especially deaf in Indonesia, leading to inequalities between the deaf with normal people. In Cinere, South Jakarta, there is a Café and a Carwash that empower deaf people to work as an employee. Therefore, researcher interest to research about communication patterns, as well as knowing the factors restricting and supporters between deaf and hearing friends. This study uses qualitative methods

through structured, as well as observations of nonpartisipan on Deaf Finger Talk. The results

obtained are patterns of communication is diadik communication with face-to-face. After a mutual familiarity, communication occurs on a dialog. The supporting factor is curiosity and willingness to learn. And the barrier factors consisting of: feelings of fear, unopen, negative thoughts and intelligentsia. The benefit of this research is to provide an overview of the communication patterns between deaf employees, and hearing friends, so in the future it can be used as a reference for those looking to empower Deaf as a professionals.
