The objective of this research is to know the improvement and advantage of teaching English speaking skill through Cooperative Learning method. This research was conducts in seventh grade at SMPI As-Syafi’iyah 06 Bekasi in the academic years of 2017/2018. Cooperative Learning is use as an analysis method of teaching English speaking skill. This paper uses qualitative descriptive methods. The results of this study indicate that (1) Cooperative Learning can teach students to work together in groups and solve a problem especially the task given by teachers and exchange opinions and thoughts with each other (2) Cooperative Learning has good results to motivate students in English speaking skill, students can enjoy and feel good. So it makes them able to explore their English speaking skills without feeling less confident and afraid. The results how that the implementation of Cooperative Learning has significantly improving in students’ English speaking skills, can be seen from the achievement of increasing student score. The average for pre-test is 74.56, the average post-test score is 89.66. The implementation of Cooperative Learning is very effective for improving students’’ English speaking skills.
