The purpose of this analysis is to know what Alzheimer’s disease is, the causes of Alzheimer’s disease, and the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive disease that destroys memory and other important mental functions. The writer finishes this analysis by determining the problems of Still Alice movie, identifying the information according to the movie, developing the data by gathering the instruments that are needed in analyzing Still Alice movie, and analyzing obtained information to make a whole analysis. Using descriptive qualitative method, the writer discovers that; 1). Alzheimer’s disease of the main character is genetically inherited. 2). Dementia, changes in the main character’s mental state, changes in the main character’s personality and behavior, and how Alzheimer’s disease affects the main character’s life are the effects of Alzheimer’s disease on the main character’s life. 3). Alzheimer’s disease can happen to anyone in any age, people who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease need a lot of support, and how Alzheimer’s disease is an even longer goodbye are the moral lessons the writer gets from Still Alice movie. By knowing the causes and effects of Alzheimer’s disease, people can be more aware of how to deal with and take care of Alzheimer’s disease patients.
