TEACHING ENGLISH SPEAKING THROUGH YOUTUBE (A Field Research at SMA IT Rahmaniyah)

The purpose of this study is to help students learnt speaking effectively by using media YouTube in SMA IT Rahmaniyah for 10th grade senior high. This paper focused on developing the way to teach and learn in a different way but still interesting, fun, making the atmosphere in the class ease and increasing students’ enthusiasm in learning using media YouTube. This paper used qualitative descriptive methods as the method of the research. The result of using YouTube as a media was effective for teaching speaking in the class. In this way, students were speaking confidently and more expressive. They also didn’t have to worry about the phrases they used when speaking, because they had resource how to speak English properly like native speaker.
