ABSTRACT 

Andita Yuandini Putri (31160119) Altruism of Main Character In Shazam!

Movie Directed by David Sandberg 

The purpose of this paper is to introduce altruism behavior to people who do not

understand its meaning. Then maximize the contents of this paper so that other

people can make my paper their reference. The method used by the writer is

descriptive qualitative, which is collecting data and testing it using theories that have

been chosen by the writer. The writer watches the movie over and over and

determines the appropriate discussion, then records important things that are needed

during the research period. The results of the study are Billy Batson as the main

character in the Shazam! movie has fulfilled the characteristics and aspects of

altruism which is shown by empathetic behavior, interpreting the surroundings, being

able to maintain the security and safety of the people around him, and initiating

assistance. And he has a sincere heart, he thinks of the interests of others, he is

willing to sacrifice things that are valuable to him, be responsive to the surroundings,

love others, want to share with others and his heart full of love.
