Directed by Bradley Cooper

 

The paper is aimed at finding out Love of Main Character in A Star is Born Movie

directed by Bradley Cooper. The purpose of doing this analysis is to provide clear

data about the meaning of love and also the writer analysis the components of love

and the types of love that the main character has in A Star is Born movie. In doing

this analysis, the writer uses the qualitative description method. The research was

conducted by watching the whole film and providing data that supports research.

This study shows that love is divided into three main components, namely Intimacy,

Passion, and Commitment. From these components love is divided into eight types,

Liking, Infatuation, Empty love, Romantic love, Companionate love, Fatuous love,

Consummate love, Non-love. This research shows that love can be represented into

several types, not just one type, in A Star is the main movie the main character has

three types of love. The three types of love do not appear simultaneously but through

the stages starting from Romantic love, then becoming Companionate love until the

end of the story becomes Empty love.
