Employee morale and performance are very crucial factors which are able to determine the succeed of an organization. Cultural factor at work and internal communication have important role to reach the objectives. Matahari Department Store applies the 5R Work Culture and Internal Communication as a way to enhance Employee Morale and Performance. Related to this matter, this research is conducted to know the exact impacts of the 5R Work Culture and Internal Communication on Employee Morale and Performance in that retail company. It takes 170 employees (clerkpersons and Sales Promotions Girl (SPG)) as samples and uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to analyze data. The result of the study shows that there are significant and positive impacts among the variables. 5R Work Culture has significant and positive impact on Employee Morale (p-value = 0,001), likewise Internal Communication has significant and positive impact on Employee Morale (p-value = 0,006). It also proves that Employee Morale has significant and positive impact on Employee Performance (p-value = 0,004).
