Jamaluddin Muhamad Akbar (31150102), Narcissistic Personality Disorder of Gaston’s Character in Beauty and The Beast Movie Directed by Bill Condon
The purpose of this research is to know about Narcissistic Personality Disorder, that happening today as an impact of development of technology. Through the movie character the writer wants to analyze about signs of Narcissistic Personality Disorder and also types of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. The writer chooses Beauty and the Beast movie and uses antagonist character as the object of this research. The writer uses descriptive qualitative method for this research, to complete this research the writer gets theories related to the topic in the library and internet. The result of this research are (1) Gaston as an antagonist character show signs of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (2) the types of Narcissistic Personality Disorder possessed in Gaston character are Phallic Narcissist type, Grandiose or Malignant type, and Unprincipled Narcissist type.
