TOURISM PROMOTION PROGRAM IN SOUTH TANGERANG REGIONAL GOVERNMENT (A Field Research at South Tangerang Tourism Department)

Tourism industry around the world is a very fast growing industry, especially in Indonesia. To compensate for these advances, government participation is crucial to improving its tourism progression. Build the infrastructure and promoting it, is the fastest way to do. The writer uses Analytical qualitative research method and start the research in South Tangerang tourism department for a month. Based on this research the writer found that role of government to promote the tourism destination gives a big influence in increasing the number of visitors in South Tangerang. Through their main program Ikanotas, Lebaran betawi, and Tandon Ciater festival, South Tangerang Government can develope their revenue from tourism sector. The establishment of specialized agencies that can help maximize local revenue and regulate the tourism industry in the South Tangerang regional government.
