This journal article examines the 2023 Barbie movie directed by Greta Gerwig as a cultural artifact that reimagines gender equality through feminist lenses. it analyzes how the film subverts traditional doll narratives to promote empowerment, intersectionality, and social critique. Key themes include the deconstruction of patriarchal norms, representation of diverse femininities, and the role of media in shaping gender ideologies. Findings reveal the movie's impact on audience perceptions, with discussions highlighting its contributions to ongoing dialogues on equality while critiquing potential limitations in scope. This work underscores the film's significance as a pop culture intervention, offering insights for gender studies scholars and educators.
