Library is one of the most important elements in the
environment in the world of education, because as a
provider of information and library science materials
lending services through libraries. Library supports the
enhancement and smooth operation of teaching and
learning and to improve the quality of educational
institutions. The purpose of this research to design and
build a library information system to facilitate the students
or library users find books fast fit their needs, see how far
the implementation of the Concept of User Centered
Design is built on library applications, looking for
limitations that exist in library applications, especially
from the side of the existing concepts in User Centered
Design and application design library provides
recommendations based on multi-user.To apply the
concept of User Centered Design research methods and
techniques using a prototype. Designed system includes a
system for processing the collection, registration, rental,
return, and required outputs. This information system
design to provide solutions to the problems and improved
performance in the library environment, particularly on
the processing of transaction data to report to the parties
concerned. Test results and analysis are expected to solve
problems related to data processing library, by creating a
model that is expected to be a reference to the library.
